Echo is an ability that was introduced in the Urza Saga and requires the controller to pay an echo cost (at the time, it was the same as the mana cost of the card) during their next upkeep after this card comes into play under their control. However, after Future Sight, the echo ability was changed so that the echo cards has specific echo costs, instead of replaying their mana costs.
