Clarification

Wrath of God is a Sorcery spell cards that destroys all creatures on the field, including the casters. The creatures destroyed this way cannot be regenerate this turn. Wrath of God is a universal effect card, meaning that cards which Protection from White are still destroyed by this cards effect because it is not targeting or damaging the card in specific.

Popular Use

Wrath of God is probably one of the most popular cards throughout the entire MTG universe mainly because of it's somewhat low cost, and it's effect. Destroying everything can come in handy when your opponent has a lot of creatures out and you don't. People will often use this card to "reset the board" so to speak, giving them time to rebuild. This card can be good and bad as it kills all creatures, including your own. But, still, it's a very good card and goes for about $20 at most card shops.
